"Both driver & our archaeologist guide at Pompeii were absolutely fantastic. A long day/drive, but so very worth it. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy for also my 10 yr old, and 20 yr old (that we joined at the end of her studies abroad). From our driver pointing out unusual, local facts along our drive from Rome, finding the perfect cappuccino in Pompeii (no comparison!), stopping for us to take a quick family photo near Sorrento & Positano, (spending a couple hours exploring there), offering help with our transportation needs to other locations the following day… to the wonderful experience with our guide in Pompeii who highlighted such amazing, unique history, as well as incredible engineering facts about the area. This is a must do trip (would not recommend for small children though).
