"This was an excellent tour. A driver was waiting outside our apartment and took us to the Pompeii park where we met our certified guide Itelo who had excellent English. We skipped the ticket line. Pompeii is too large to see everything but were happy with the parts selected by Itelo and he gave us great explanations of what we were seeing and how it related to ancient Roman life. Next we met our driver who took us to Vesuvius with a stop for a perfect lunch [our cost] and then to the park where you can walk up to the rim. It's a fairly steep climb of 45 minutes for us.
