OTHER TIPS

During the summer, due to the really hot weather, remember to bring with you water to keep your body hydrated, and wear a hat to repair your head from the sunlight. If you have sensitive skin, please, use a high protection sunscreen.

Due to the irregular pavement strollers are not allowed into the site.

If you are planning to visit the sites of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Oplonti, it would be more convenient to you to buy a multisite ticket. It expires after three days and allows you the entrance to all the sites.

In case of rain, bring with you an umbrella and wear a raincoat or a parka.

Big bags, huge backpacks and suitcases are not allowed into the site. You can keep them into the storage room of the archaeological site.

The first Sunday of the month there is free entry to the site. It makes it very busy with a tendency to get overcrowded, particularly after 12pm.

We suggest you to wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
